Wordy

by mayberry on August 12, 2008

Via Wordle (click on it to see it bigger), which I found via Mimilou.

This is an image derived from the RSS feed of my blog. How perfect is it that “child” appears right in the middle, connected to words like “love” and “thought” and “nasty” and “normal” and “responsible” and, of course, “sucked”?

Today’s PSA:

Hoard is not the same as horde.

Chic is not the same as chick.

Pore is not the same as pour.

*

Words that sound better with a British accent:

controversy
aluminum
whilst

*

I’m finally a-Twitter. I’m afraid this is a slippery slope which inevitably leads to me neeeeeeding an iPhone.

Aww….that wordle is very cool.
Also, thanks for the PSAs. I needed that.

And inchoate does not rhyme with Choate, not that either comes up all that often.

I love my iPhone more than I’d have guessed. I was still using a paper calendar and address book until I got it.

I think *everything* sounds better with a British accent. But another one to add to your list: schedule.

I had to physically restrain myself from entering the Apple store at the mall Friday night. Seriously, I was yanking on my own arms. Pretty comical.

Yay for twitter!

Excellent wordle. And welcome to Twitter! I haven’t been tweeting much – they’d all consist of “trying not to fall asleep while typing.”

That wordy thing is way cool. I hear you on the twittering. I’m trying to only allow myself one technology “jump” or gadget per year. Have fun tweeting.

Love the wordle.

And I’ve got to say everything sounds better with a British accent. And lots of things are better with a Brit. (Shameless plug for all things British ’cause I married one.)
