Jo woke up yesterday morning coughing, sneezing, and with a fever of 102. Since then she’s probably consumed all of 100 calories and none of that was candy. So who knows if it’s swine flu, but it definitely sucks.
She rallied long enough to put on a costume (basket o’ puppies!) but over all, this was nowhere near as fun as last year. Or the year before that. Or that.
We did, however, continue our streak of running out of candy (10 bags’ worth) by evening’s end. So there is that.

Cuteness dominates the fever! I hope she feels better soon and that the rest of you don’t get it.
We gave out half our candy – this neighborhood doesn’t seem to be high on Halloween activity. Fortunately, the boys were pleased enough with the handful of houses we visited.
Poor girl, it seems so unfair to be sick on Halloween.
Sorry. Our last man standing fell asleep at 11 AM (the sure sign of DOOM) and woke up at 1 (one hour before t or t) with a 102 fever as well. Like Jo, he still managed to put on his costume and trek around the block, but still: FAIL.
Poor little girl………..she looks like she is TRYING so hard to feel better, but not quite succeeding!

Oh, no. I hope she feels better quickly! (And gets extra candy.
)
hope she feels better soon. poor pumpkin.
man, that’s a lot of candy.
Dang, I feel really bad for her.
As for 10 bags of candy, we had ZERO trick-or-treaters. Goose egg. Nada. And, no, my husband is not the neighborhood registered perv.
Aw. They are cute though. Being sick on Halloween really stinks.
Poor poky little puppy! Hope she feels better soon.
