The booting and suiting up of the children every single time we go out is most definitely getting old. The bland produce – awful. Last night my husband and I were eating a salad and he was like, “the tomatoes aren’t that bad.” I tried one. And pointed out that if he meant “not that bad” in an “edible and not 100% horrendous” way then I supposed he was right.

The thing I hate most though is feeling like every time we leave the house someone gets sick. When everyone is finally well enough to get out and about, it just results in a new germ coming in.

Head colds.
Children with head colds.
Not realizing your 4 year old is being a huge pain because she feels crappy because she is getting a head cold.

You get the idea. On the up side, no snow here, and on Monday I rode my bike! Whee! My sister, visiting from nowhere, ohio said of Portland winters: “it is never that bad, it is just never good.”

The feeling of lightheadedness when you come in from shoveling for the umpteenth time in blizzard like whiteness. Going from the brightness to indoors makes me feel like a migraine is coming on!

I send great sympathies! The ice I’m seeing is entirely for the ice-cooler for SwingDaddy’s knee brace. Definitely not as bone chilling as the kind you have, but not a lot more entertaining.

1, 4, 6 and 10, and #9 if you leave out “snowpants.”

I have to admit that I’m only cold part of the time; when I’m snowboarding, I am never cold. (I have kick-ass gear.)

I am sick of gray skies, leafless trees, stubs where flowers ought to be, and sunset before 5:30pm.
