I started this blog after I moved from New York City to a smallish town in the upper Midwest. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that every single time I go to the grocery store, I run into someone I know. I also have a son whose nickname is Opie. Small town + small kid named Opie = no choice but to use “Mayberry” in my blog name. I also have a daughter I call Jo. I’m sorry she didn’t get a name-check in the title or tagline. She’ll get over it.

I write here about motherhood, my country mouse life, my (former) city mouse life, and whatever else is on my mind. I haven’t ever written about apple pie, although it is on my mind from time to time.
